SSMT day and evening classes, and student and professional clinic will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, August 29.

Tropical Storm Idalia will be a hurricane by tomorrow, and will likely pass Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte counties a couple of hundred miles offshore. It is a big storm, and getting bigger; even though we will probably not see the center of it, it is likely to bring tropical storm force winds, rain, and storm surge to our area. While we will probably (but not certainly) be spared the full brunt of the hurricane, we will likely experience significant weather.

It looks like it may be past us by Wednesday morning, but decisions about Wednesday will be made once the timing is clearer.
