Becoming a massage therapist is one of the the best decisions I’ve made in my life. Some people are just not satisfied with their lives unless their work has meaning. I stumbled into massage therapy when I became interested in all different kinds of healing. Once I met the intake coordinator and some of the staff, I knew I was in the right place. There is magic in these walls and inside of the people drawn to this place. The teachers at this school are teaching more than just massage, they are role models for being one with our work. True mentors and experts. Over the course of five years as a massage therapist I’ve worked in different environments. Ultimately I’ve worked for myself the entire time focusing on a presence and listening to the bodies and words of my clients. Every minute spent unraveling the daily stresses that the bodies carry have been a learning experience. This is more than a job, it is a path.
