Turning Ow to Wow: Treating the Source of Runners’ Injuries for Fast Relief

Hamstrings, sciatica, knee pain, shin splints, Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis are the most common runner complaints. This class includes an introduction to the muscles that rotate the pelvis and strain the hip, causing sciatica, knee, lower leg and foot pain.

All work is done without oil and with the client fully dressed. This allows the therapist to work at sporting events and treating athletes “on the spot” when an injury occurs. The course includes instruction on self-treatment of all the leg muscles. This enables the athlete to know what to do if the problem occurs while on the road, at a race, or during a long training session.

Class is held from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
