Prerequisite:  Before taking this workshop, please attend The Rockaway Method Foundation Course to understand the basic principles of The Rockaway Method.


Are you ready to Rock-away the tight, stiff, and painful places in your clients’ low back, hips, thighs, legs, knees, and feet? These techniques are great for athletes, dancers, yoga practitioners, people that sit a lot, those with postural issues, trouble climbing stairs, getting in and out of cars or chairs, and difficulty walking. In this course, you will learn some awesome techniques to help your clients feel so much better as they become more mobile and flexible!


In the Lower Body Course we will focus on:
• Mobility / flexibility issues of the lower body
• Relaxing the muscles of the low back
• Loosening quadratus lumborum, psoas, and piriformis
• Increasing hip movement
• Gluteal and adductor muscle release
• Easing tight hamstring and quadriceps muscles
• Relaxing sore feet and tight ankles


During this Rockaway Course, you will be rocking, stretching, and compressing the fascia of the lower body to the rhythm of high-energy music. Your weekend will be filled with giving and receiving bodywork. By Sunday evening, you will be joyfully dancing in your new, flexible body and ready to help your clients in the week ahead!  Bring a friend so that after the course you can exchange ongoing Rockaway sessions with each other.


Please bring: A set of twin sheets for the massage table, face cradle covers, bed pillow and pillow case. A light blanket is recommended, as the workshop room is often cool. 
Clothing:  Please wear flexible, comfortable clothes that you can easily move in.
